About the Role:

As an Automation Tester with AWS Cloud expertise, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of Sopra Steria’s cloud-based applications. This role combines strong automation testing capabilities with cloud infrastructure knowledge, particularly in AWS. You will be responsible for building and maintaining automated test frameworks, designing AWS-based test environments, and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

This role is best suited for professionals who are passionate about automation testing, cloud technologies, and delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement automated test strategies for AWS-based applications.
• Design, create, and maintain test automation scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows.
• Configure and manage AWS-based test environments (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation).
• Identify, analyze, and log software defects while working closely with teams to resolve them.
• Optimize test execution and resource usage within AWS.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold automation testing best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers on automation and AWS-related practices.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends in automation testing and cloud technologies.

Requirements:

To apply for this role, candidates should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in automation testing for cloud applications.
• 2+ years of practical experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation).
• Strong programming experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with automation testing tools (Selenium, Appium, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and DevOps principles.
• API testing experience with tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Knowledge of test management tools (JIRA, TestRail).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred but not required:

• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
